Steve Gerber 1947 - 2008

Last Sunday, Steve Gerber (the creator of Howard the Duck) passed away.



Howard the Duck was a Marvel Comic published in the mid to late 70's, and featured a wise-cracking Duck, trapped in our world. I remember the first time i picked up the first issue at a second hand bookstore, and was absolutely blown away by the character, drawings, tone and most of all...the story! I devoured that thing for almost a full week...every time i'd put it down, i'd pick it up against almost immediately, trying to work out how the hell they did that.

I never had the chance to read any Howard the Duck comics... but this is for sure a beautiful tribute :)

the lighting and the colours of the water/street are beyond amazing! i LOVE how you did the whole smudged area at the bottom. How do you do that? I'd love to get some tips.. :)
